Set Up Your Email Having an e-mail is the life-blood to an Internet Marketer. Your e-mail is as important as a telephone for your business. This is how you communicate with people and how they communication with you. It is the most efficient and inexpensive tool you will use. You can always setup a free e-mail like Hotmail, Gmail, or Yahoo mail. I would suggest a domain e-mail account. When you host your domain with a hosting company, they will provide you with a number of e-mail accounts. There are several e-mail clients. Two such clients are Microsoft Outlook and Mozilla Thunderbird. These clients are used for Post Office Protocol or POP3 e-mail accounts. POP3 is a protocol that handles your incoming e-mails. There is another protocol for sending e-mails. Simple Mail Transfer Protocol or SMTP not only allows you to send but it allows you to receive as well. POP3 is the protocol that handles the Incoming e-mails (those messages that are sent TO you). SMTP is the protocol that handles the Outgoing e-mails (those messages that are sent FROM you). |
